Core Art Indaba!!!

This is a Core-Art News update with your relevant host Nonsika.

“He who has begun a good work in you will bring it to accomplishment” and indeed the God of the heavens has not stopped walking with us on the journey of changing young people’s lives. He has been changing ours so that when we get to talk about change we know that it’s a process and one that we are familiar with.

We as Core-Art would like to thank God for his grace and mercy because we now realize that it’s not that we are perfect, but because He is the one who continues to work our hearts to be one with His for his people. We would like to thank you for your support and prayers. With your support we were able to go to churches, schools and youth groups and also do our Legacy projects this year that had a great impact (Pictures are available on our face book page www.facebook.com/coreartintl )

Through the Legacy projects we were able to spend at least a month with each Care point and at the end of each month we would have a day of fun and presentation. During our visits we would share the word of God and also share our own life experiences.

NOW

In this month as we close we are back to the drawing board, to review the year and do team placement for next year. We are very excited about next years team and we trust that it will be also another year of Gods favor and many lives will be changed, challenged and empowered through the ministry. Our team consists of ten extremely energetic young people, thus the name “Team Awesome 2012”

HOPE

“If it is not growing then it’s dying” as a ministry we desire growth even for the next year. We believe that the main team will be properly trained, and equipped for ministry.

New office space- We have been blessed with our office space. We will be in town where we will be accessible to the youth. Part of the challenge we were facing was that our offices were out of reach for many of the young people. We will start operating in them next year January thanks to Family Worship Centre.

PRAYER

- We request that you pray for the growth and strength for the ministry.

- We will be having a prayer hour on Saturday 12th of November,2011. In this hour we want you our partners to take a few minutes and pray for the leadership of the ministry and also pray as God may lead. Above everything else we need a mighty move of God in the lives of the young people. Amen

Also pray for the support of the ministry as we barely get by and it is by grace that we still stand and also the help of the few that inspire us to be more than who we are and what we have through their selfless deeds and giving to the ministry.

We could still use your support if you haven’t started and if you are supporting us we more than appreciate it as it is what keeps us going. To inquire please inbox lelo@coreartinternational.com

Thank you for tuning in this Core-Art channel, we love hearing from you.

Awesome beginnings as we kicked off the month with an amazing project to continue with our mission of changing lives in Swaziland.

With the current number of orphans growing at over 120 000 in a population of 1.2 million people we felt the call to lend a helping hand to the one other ministry that has been trying very hard to manage this situation.

LEGACY

Core-Art has started a movement called Legacy 101 with the aim of involving the general public in the fight against apathy and neglect of the orphaned children in Swaziland. We have seen child headed households, we have seen and know many malnourished children and we live with many badly socialized orphans.

Legacy 101 was founded to improve this situation through the involvement of every individual of different classes and status. We have created endless platforms for the public to lend a hand and make a serious difference without breaking a sweat.

Legacy reached out to about 100 people this month to partake in our first Legacy 101 mission and familiarize themselves with over 160 orphaned and vulnerable children in their different situations. We had this mission at Fairview and it proved to be a great success thanks to your support and the Core-Art staff as well as volunteers. This mission included schools, churches, community youth groups, art groups and many volunteers.

This is just the beginning as we are having another even bigger project at the end of this month. As a ministry we are inspired to be the change we want to see and have learned to be bold in stepping up and leading the way. We are forever thankful for your support and making everything possible through your prayers. Catch our new page for legacy at www.coreartinternational.com/legacy101

CORE-ART

We are currently blessed with three new full time staff members who are passionate about ministry and the arts. With their different skills we are looking to also embark on a small project for social behavior change communication. We welcome:

Mduduzi Mavuso: Project Manager

Njabulo Simelane: Script Writer and Production Head

Bongani Dlamini: Programs Director

With these new staff on board the past few weeks have been exciting as they have embarked on a mission to strengthen our production wing and productivity when it comes to projects and programs. As we prepare for a new wave of shows and production to hit the country through Core-Art we are strengthening our capacity to meet the standards of our vision for the future impact of the ministry.

REQUEST

We would also like to request support in a form of a laptop, as we are currently crippled by the lack of an effective machine for running the ministry. If anyone is willing to support, please feel free to contact me at lelo@coreartinternational.com or just visit the website for more info. Anything from a physical laptop/computer or support towards it will be greatly appreciated.

Core –Art Indaba

“If you think you are the entire picture, you will never see the big picture”

This statement rings strong and true as we bring you our latest news about what the Lord is doing through us as a ministry. We have formed major allies with lots of churches for the growth of the impact of the ministry and also to make serving the people more effective. Namely, Family Worship Centre and Faith Alliance church.

Ludzeludze Children Care Point

We had a chance to develop and challenge the young Orphans lives in terms of leadership and life skills through games that challenge their thinking capacity. These games were teaching them to be more responsible, more independent in thinking and who they are in God, because most of them are struggling with peer pressure, their identity and their status and background. We will be with them at least for four more weeks.

Family Worship

We are helping the church have a fully fledged working structure for the youth because the young people are there but the leadership does not know how they are going to handle the youth. Currently we are helping them prepare for their youth Sunday which is going to be on 19 June 2011. We will also be ministering on that same day. Yey! Fun times. We are seeing God really intervene in our meeting and the young people who for the past months were not excited about youth meetings, now they are enjoying it more. We thank God for allowing us to be part of another revival that is sweeping the country.

We are also invited to do the same in the other branches of the church, which are in Pretoria, Cape Town, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Dates are still going to be confirmed.

Faith Alliance Church

The impact we are having is creating a lot of noise to a point that people are coming from different churches and groups for a partnership as well as our services. We have been invited by this church to help them by taking them through the Core youth ministry course for three days. Starting on the 9th -12th of June. We can’t wait!

Legacy 101

We have decided to revive one of our projects called intervention, which focused on the orphan situation in Swaziland. This is where we facilitated the adoption of orphans as well as socializing them to become better members of society. This is mainly because the need has become even bigger for us as the number of orphans is now over 120 000 in Swaziland yet apathy is at its peak locally. We have renamed this program Legacy 101.The basic motive is to create a culture of caring through creating a context for members of the public to function in when it comes to this situation as well as promoting empathy and caring to all we come across.

We will be having our first Legacy 101 project for this year on the 18th of June. See more info at www.legacy101.page.tl

Other ministry places

We are ministering at the other Date with Identity at the end of this month (2 July 2011). The theme is finances. It is going to be at Bethel court at Ezulwini.

Prayer Items

Ministry’s first Vehicle for work

The youth of Swaziland

The ministry to grow into what God sees it to be/ accomplish the vision

Legacy 101 (Orphan situation to be improved through the project)

THE MESSENGER

The adoration of God through worship while touching and changing lives through art. As a ministry we stand in awe of what God is doing.

MINISTRY

This month we ministered at the Family Worship Centre in Matsapha. We also got invited

to a life couching event at Ezulwini and God honoured us tremendously. We went there to minister but we got ministered unto greatly. So it was the best exchange ever for us. We visited Timphisini high school, Mayiwane high school, Matsapha infant and Siteki Nazarene for morning school ministry and it was amazing to interact with the students and impart the word through our ministry dances and sharing testimonies.

PARTNERSHIPS

The next place is at the Ludzeludze Children`s care point. We are also assisting the youth at Family Worship Centre to help them prepare for their day of ministry at the church at the end of this month. We are invited to minister in Pretoria at the end of June. Still to be confirmed. New Birth has partnered with us in our worship through art ministry, with our first workshop on the 4th of June.

We thank God for ministry opportunities and the ability to minister. We thank God for allowing you and all our partners to spread the good news of hope to not only the lost but also to the body of Christ.

INTERNATIONAL TOUR

we are very excited about an invitation to tour all the Family Worship Centre branches in Southern Africa. We’ve been asked to go minister to the different churches, develop the youth ministries in some branches, and to help strengthen them structurally and spiritually in others. This blessing came after we ministered at the Family Worship Centre local branch in Swaziland that the founder has since not stopped talking about the powerful message in the ministry of Core-Art.

We will be going to places like Cape Town, Pretoria, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

We are excited about this exposure and great opportunity to touch lives beyond our country as always and also just to be fired up for the task ahead.

SCHOOL MINISTRY

We are more than happy to say local ministry in schools is also taking a new turn as we are now getting opportunities for morning ministry far more regularly than before and with the current team it’s easier to maneuver and get around without extra costs, yet the job still gets done.

SMOOTH SAILING

We are very thankful for your support as always and we would like to request your support and prayer as we are praying to get our first ministry vehicle before the end of June. We have so far raised R11 400 towards the vehicle and are praying for support to reach R30 000 which is our target. Any contributions towards this will be greatly appreciated. Please help our ministry be more mobile and travel with greater ease.

THE LATEST NEWS!!

It’s that time of the month where we can safely say that training is done and another hectic month awaits us. A time of joy, a time of giving beyond ourselves as we share our message with everyone, from the youngest to the eldest about the love of the Almighty.

TRAINING

We are so happy that preparation time is over and now we have to go into the field. By the look of things and looking at what is happening around the world, we are realizing that as a ministry we should go harder and stronger because the end times are near. Whether the end comes tomorrow or fifty years from now, one thing we are certain about is that we have a story to share: A testimony about the love of Jesus and his abounding grace.

OUTREACH/MINISTRY AREAS

We have been invited to assist the youth to set up their youth ministry structure and also in the worship and arts part of the ministry. Our next place to minister is at the Family Worship Centre International Church, St Paul’s school to mention just a few. We also have been busy with youth work, and ministry at Somnjalose and Lozitha High School.

VOLUNTEER

We still can use a more mature volunteer staff for the work we do with schools, communities and churches locally. So whether you are Swazi, South African, American or anywhere else in the world we can use your help as a volunteer.

We are currently embarking on the road of spiritual worship. We are serving the local body of Christ with an insight on art and worshipping God through art. We realize the gap that exist in the body of Christ in Swaziland when it comes to this subject and its application and we feel it pressed in our heart to introduce and teach dancing as a form of worshipping God and prophetic dancing before the church.

This ministry is to God and his people to unleash what the Lord has proclaimed about Swaziland years ago through his prophets, that is “Swaziland Shall be The Pulpit of Africa” and worship. We as Core-Art International are proud to be a part of a humbling journey with the local church. We have already approached a lot of churches for this worship experience and are very excited to render our services to their youth.

We are not just teaching the steps or making a routine but this workshop is backed by scriptures, time, and the current mandate for Core-Art for 2011 in our first quarter. During this workshop people will explore more forms of artistic worship and by the time the workshop is over they will have had a practical application of worshipping God. (Psalm 34:8)

We focus on these forms of art in worshipping God, poetry, drawing, painting, singing, dancing and music. The worship through art workshop is 3 hours and is best suited for the youth of any church including yours so contact us if your congregation is interested.

Don’t forget to tell your available friends about a mission trip to Swaziland to volunteer.
